The OCR engine loads the selected language model in the browser before reading the image. Matching the language to the text in the picture helps names, accents, kana, or Chinese characters produce cleaner output.
Image quality still matters
Clear, high-contrast images with straight text usually work best. The image stays on your device while recognition runs, but blurred photos, skewed scans, or decorative fonts can still require manual correction afterward.
