Flip one card, then a second. A matching pair stays face up; two different cards turn back over after a moment, or straight away when you tap the next card, so you never have to wait. Every two cards count as one move. Choose a board of 4 by 3 (6 pairs), 4 by 4 (8), 6 by 4 (12) or 6 by 6 (18). On a phone you tap the cards; on a computer the arrow keys move between cards and Enter or Space flips one. In two-player mode a match lets the same player flip again and a miss passes the turn; matched cards take the colour of the player who found them.
The game remembers when each card was first seen. When you turn over a card whose partner you have already seen, that move is a chance to match: finding the partner counts as remembered, flipping a different card counts as forgotten, and the bar under the board tells you at which move you saw it, without saying where it is. A match where the partner had never been seen is counted as luck. Your memory score is remembered divided by remembered plus forgotten. With the opening peek on, every card counts as seen from the start. In solo mode the fewest moves for each board, with or without the peek, is kept in this browser together with the time; ties go to the faster time. Two-player games are not recorded, there is no account, and nothing is sent to a server.
Common questions and answers about this topic.
Choose a board and press Start. Flip two cards each turn: matching cards stay face up, different cards turn back over after a moment or as soon as you tap the next card. The game ends when every pair is found.
Every two cards you turn over count as one move, whether they match or not. Turning over only the first card does not add a move. The fewest possible moves equals the number of pairs.
Easy is 4 by 3 with 6 pairs, Standard is 4 by 4 with 8, Hard is 6 by 4 with 12 and Master is 6 by 6 with 18. You can also show every card for three seconds at the start, and mark the cards you have already seen, which helps younger players.
It starts when you turn over the first card and stops when the last pair is matched. The opening peek is not counted, and the timer pauses while you are on another tab.
When you flip a card whose partner you have already seen, you could have matched it. Finding the partner counts as remembered; flipping another card counts as forgotten. The score is remembered divided by remembered plus forgotten. Matches where you had never seen the partner count as luck and do not change the score.
Yes. Choose two players to take turns on one device: a match lets you flip again and a miss passes the turn. On a computer, the arrow keys move between cards and Enter or Space flips one. Every card is a button with a spoken name for screen readers.
Your best solo result for each board is saved only in this browser on this device; two-player games are not saved. Nothing is uploaded and no account is needed. Clearing site data removes the records.
