About the basketball scoreboard

Rules, periods, and game clock

Switch between NBA, FIBA, NCAA, high school, or custom rules to set the number of periods and minutes per period. The countdown clock can be paused, adjusted by seconds, reset to the current period length, and moved into overtime when the regular periods are complete.

Scoring, fouls, and undo log

Use quick +1, +2, and +3 controls for each team, optional 24 or 14 second shot clock resets, team foul counters, timeout counters, and a match log. Undo removes the latest recorded scoring, foul, timeout, or period change, but the tool does not automatically enforce possession, bonus, or referee decisions.

Local saving and share links

Current game state and saved games are stored in browser local storage on this device. Share links encode the visible scoreboard fields in the URL query so another device can open the same snapshot; the link itself carries that data, and no server side game sync is created.

FAQ

Common questions and answers about this topic.

Which basketball rule sets are supported?

NBA (4 × 12 minutes), FIBA (4 × 10 minutes), NCAA (2 halves × 20 minutes), and high school (4 × 8 minutes) are preset. You can also pick "Custom" to set any number of periods and minutes per period — covering pickup games, training, and community leagues.

Are my game records uploaded to a server?

No. Paji Toolset follows a strict client-side principle — every score, timer state, and rule setting stays in your browser's localStorage only. Nothing is uploaded, and your data persists across browser sessions.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. All scoreboard logic runs in the browser. Once the page has loaded, you can keep scoring, running the countdown, and using fullscreen even without an internet connection.

The fullscreen button does not work — what should I do?

Some iOS Safari versions and embedded webviews do not support the Fullscreen API. The scoreboard automatically falls back to a CSS-based fullscreen mode that covers the whole window, so you keep all functionality.

Can I undo a wrong +3 or a cleared score?

Yes. Tap **Undo** at any time to revert the most recent change — score, period switch, foul, or timeout — up to 50 steps back. The -1 point and -1 foul buttons remain for fine adjustments. Note that "Clear scores" wipes both the game state and the undo history, so confirm before using it.

Can I manage multiple games at once?

The scoreboard supports named saved games on this device. Use "Save current as new" to keep up to 20 game snapshots, then switch back to any saved game or delete older ones from the saved games panel. Everything stays in browser storage and is never uploaded.

What happens after the game clock reaches zero?

The countdown stops at 00:00 and the buzzer sounds (unless muted). Once you reach the final period, the "Next period" button switches automatically to "Start overtime" — tap it to begin OT. NBA / FIBA / NCAA / high school use 5-minute OT periods; the Custom rule reuses your per-period minutes. The overtime counter increments each time you start a new OT, and you can keep stacking OTs as needed.

What scenarios is this scoreboard best suited for?

Pickup games with friends, PE classes, community leagues, basketball camps and training drills, and as a quick scoring assist for amateur livestreams. Free, no signup, zero friction.

Can I show a 24-second shot clock?

Yes. Toggle "Shot clock (24s)" in the settings panel. The shot clock starts at 24 seconds and runs alongside the main game clock — pausing automatically when you pause the game. Use "Reset 24" for a fresh possession or "Reset 14" for offensive rebounds, as per FIBA / NBA rules. The buzzer also sounds at 0 (unless muted).

Does it track team fouls and timeouts?

Yes — turn on "Fouls & timeouts" in settings to show foul and timeout counters under each team. Foul counts highlight in red once a team enters bonus (5 fouls in a quarter, per NBA / FIBA convention) and reset automatically when you advance to the next period. Default timeouts per game follow each rule set (NBA 7, FIBA 5, NCAA / high school 4, Custom 5).

Can I share the current scoreboard with another device?

Yes. Tap "Share link" — the current score, period, rule, fouls, timeouts, OT count, and remaining game clock are encoded into a short URL and copied to your clipboard. Open that link on another device (phone, TV browser, second laptop) to mirror the same scoreboard. The link recipient always loads in a paused state to avoid clock drift; tap Start to resume.
